Original vintage travel poster advertising Le Chemin de fer du Montenvers - a railway in the French Alps, Haute-Savoie department of France. The railway runs between Chamonix and the Mer de Glace, a valley glacier on the north slope of Mont Blanc massif at an altitude of 1,913 m. The poster features a photograph of a small train with red carriages and a white roof driving across a bridge over a river. The railway winds around a wooded slope with a glacier and steep snowy mountains in the background. Published by the Ministere des travaux publics, des transports et du tourisme. Printed by Draeger.
